NOTICE FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE PAID THE REGISTRATION FEE AND HAVE NOT YET CONFIRMED:
DEADLINE FOR CANCELLATIONS WILL BE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2013.
CANCELLATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REGISTRATION FEE.

The conference wil be held at the IIAS, the Feldman Building, Edmond J. Safra Campus, Givat Ram, Jerusalem, Israel.

Because of their key roles in executing most cellular processes, proteins regulate the life of all living organisms.  As its title indicates, the workshop “Proteins: from Birth to Death,” will deal with central aspects of proteins structure and function, from the moment of translation until degradation.
Topics that will be covered in the workshop include:
    1)  Post-transcription regulation
    2)  RNA-protein interactions
    3)  Protein trafficking and modifications
    4)  Protein folding and misfolding
    5)  Protein structure and protein-protein interactions
    6)  Membrane proteins
    7)  Proteins from function to therapy
    8)  Moonlighting proteins: proteins of multiple functions
    9)  Innovative approaches to protein research
The confirmed list of speakers includes world leaders and young scientists.  We encourage PhD students and postdocs to attend the meeting (fellowships are available).  We will also select several talks from the submitted abstracts
