Call for poster presentations

Open call for poster presentations on topics relevant to the conference focus. Deadline for submission of posters June 30, 2009. See website for further information		  

This conference will focus on theoretical and research topics presented by professionals on the cutting edge of PTSD research and treatment. In addition, panel discussions will be held to enable an exchange of ideas between presenters and between presenters and conference participants. We shall aim at generating new approaches to prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Accordingly, there will be four major focuses:

  • Prevention – examination of risk factors in the development of PTSD as well as resiliency characteristics, so that people at risk may be more readily identified, with the aim of establishing prevention programs.
  • Diagnosis - examination of the current status of multi-layer diagnoses of PTSD, to identify aspects that are still problematic in order to determine appropriate modifications in diagnosis so that  appropriate treatment modalities may be fitted to the needs of the patient.
  • Treatment – examination and evaluation of current treatment approaches, including newly developed modifications, so that appropriate treatment modalities may be fitted to the needs of the patient.
  • Evaluation – evaluation of both diagnosis and treatment over time
 

 

CALL FOR POSTERS

The meeting will include poster sessions on two days,  Monday October 19th and Wednesday October 21st.  We welcome submissions for poster presentations on research associated with the topics of the conference: Protective and Risk Factors, Prevention, Diagnoses, and Treatment of PTSD. If you are interested in presenting a poster, we ask that you submit a title and abstract (up to 250 words) by Friday, July 31st, 2009. In addition to the abstract, we ask that you indicate the general focus of your poster. The titles of the selected posters will appear in the program of the meeting, and the abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts. Posters should be no greater than 175x69cm and should be hung by the participants (on the provided stands) prior to the poster session. Please be advised that you must be registered for the conference in order to present a poster.
